Besan ki Katli recipe is from Uttar Pradesh.You can have these as snack or by adding them to your favorite gravy you can have it as curry for main course with roti ,paratha,or phulka..
This is ofthen preapre during monsoon season while there is less option of vegetables to eat..some people call it as besan k paneer..
1 bowl of gram floor
1/2 tbspn ajwain(carom seeds)
1 pinch of turmeric
2 tbspn ginget garlic paste
1 onion chopped finely
2 green chillies finely chopped(you can take it as per your taste)
salt as per taste
asafoetida 1 pinch
1/2 tbspn musturd seeds
1/2 tbspn seasme seeds
1 tbspn coconut powder
1/2 tbspn red chillie powder
coriander for ganishishing
Take a big bowl add gram floor, ajwain, turmeric, ginger-garlic paste, onion, green chillies and salt and make a thin batter with help of water. Now take a non stick pan and let it be heat properly now add batter to heated pan and let it be cook till it converts to very thick dough stirring constantly to avoid any lumps. Grease a thali and set the mixture in it.
To prepare tadka in a tadka pan take little amount of oil add musturd seeds when it start to crackle switch off the flame now add seasme seeds,coconut powder,red chillie powder and quickly set on the set katlis in thali. Garnish with coriander leaves.When cool cut into diamonds shape and serve with green chutney or have it with tea.
Enjoy yum and healthy snax with tea, lassi..
or add it to your favorite gravy (tomato, kaju, posta…) and enjoy with paratha , puri whatever you like..
