Today i will tell you to prepare it with Sweet poatato ( Sakarkand ) it comes as a healthy and delicious dessert and Shakarkand Rabdi is winter speciality.It is very healthy for growing kids. It has significant nutritional contents given the generous amounts of milk, sweet potato, saffron and cardamom that go into it. Sweet potato is a perfect substitute for the health-conscious as well. Sweet potato is no less than a superfood as it is loaded with fiber, Vitamin A and Vitamin C and minerals like magnesium and calcium. The milk in the recipe gives it a protein benefits and saffron is a natural food colorant which is loaded with many benefits. so in this chill winter prepare this super sweet Shakarkand Rabdi by following given recipe and enjoy this lip smacking dish with your family and friends . Your kids will love this too..
- 200 ml milk
- 3 Tbsp sweet potato, boiled and mashed
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/2 tsp elaichi powder
- Few saffron strands
- 1 tsp mixed nuts fine chopped
Boil the milk well in a deep pan when this milk get a good boil then add the mashed sweet potato into it. Cook well till the milk thickens.Now add the saffron strands to a cup of warm water and wait till they dissolve completely, if you don’t want saffron color then you can skip this but personally i love the color and aroma both which comes by adding saffron. Add this to the milk mixture and stir well. Sprinkle Cardamom powder and cook for 3-4 minutes. At the end, add nuts on top and empty the entire rabdi in a bowl and let it cool. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Serve chilled.. Njoy this dessert with your friends and family..
